What This Error Means
Windows Genuine Advantage validation failed during the activation check. The system determined that the current license or activation method does not pass Microsoft's authenticity verification.
Often seen with tampered licensing files, modified system files, or keys from unauthorized activation toolkits.
How to Fix It
- Remove any third-party activation tools or cracks immediately.
- Run sfc /scannow to repair modified system files.
- Reset the licensing state: slmgr /upk, slmgr /rearm (if available), reboot.
- Enter a legitimate product key from an authorized source.
- If validation still fails after a genuine key, perform a clean Windows install from official media.
